The remarkable destination of Puerto Vallarta is setting its sights on breaking a record currently held by Germany to end up with its name listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.  Organizers of the event in Puerto Vallarta plan to bring together a group of 10,000 coffee drinkers, comprised of locals and tourists, to gather the “largest number of coffee drinkers simultaneously”.

This special occasion will be taking place this coming December 16, 2017 and will help bring even more attention to the tourism paradise that Puerto Vallarta has become.  In 2009, Germany held the same type of event which helped it achieve the current record of 8,162 people drinking coffee simultaneously.   Puerto Vallarta’s event was first announced to take place 9 months ahead of its date, which will give its organizers and the city plenty of time to plane all of the details and promote it adequately.

With over 3 million books sold that have been published in 22 various languages and distributed in more than 100 countries, the Guinness Book of World Records is one of the most in demand books on the planet.  It has also been proven to be quite popular on several digital media outlets, boasting over 12 million visitors to its Facebook page, 14 million website visitors and more than 50,000 Instagram followers.
