Hiroshi, the gourmet Japanese restaurant located on the Garza Blanca Preserve is pleased to be readying itself for 2017’s rendition of OMAKASE: a chef’s table experience. Inspired by the successful debut OMAKASE enjoyed last year, this year’s version will offer a spectacular opportunity to take part in a unique dining experience that will be available every alternate weekend during the month of July and August

Leaving it up to the chef

Omakase is a term used in Japanese dining to describe the experience whereby diners allow the chef to surprise them with multiple courses. The same will be true during Hiroshi’s Omakase chef’s table experience, which will welcome a different renowned chef every second week. Hotel guests as well as local residents can look forward to a delicious Japanese meal including multiple courses designed to impress even the most discerning palates.

Masters of Japanese Cuisine

July and August 2017 will see four different guest chefs taking the lead in Hiroshi’s kitchen every other week. While the names of all the chefs have not yet been announced, this special OMAKASE event on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in July and August will highlight the culinary skills of chefs visiting from some of the most celebrated Japanese eateries in the U.S. Hiroshi’s own resident chef Carlos Leyva will be teaming up with these visiting chefs, all masters of Japanese cuisine in their own right, who will dictate the flavors and textures of each gourmet Japanese dish that will be part of their individual take on OMAKASE.

The dates established for Omakase are as follows:

Chef Hiroshi Shima: July 6 – July 8

Chef Mitsuo Endo:  July 20 – July 22

Chef to be announced: August 3 – August 5

Chef Oscar Gonzalez: August 17 – August 19

Specials to Complement the regular menu

Additionally, Hiroshi’s regular menu will feature a temporary selection of scrumptious specialties designed by each visiting chef that can be ordered beginning each Thursday and continuing until the following Wednesday.  This will give diners a chance to try the creations of that week’s featured chef before they hand over the reigns to the following week’s guest chef.

Last year’s OMAKASE was a such an amazing success that we are really excited about what this year will bring,” declared Hotel Mousai’s Experience Manager, Miriam Vazquez. “The guest chefs are so incredibly inventive and talented, bringing a wealth of experience and creativity to share with diners as well as sharing their secrets with our culinary team at Hiroshi restaurant.

Launching on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 and continuing on until August 22nd, this year’s OMAKASE event will be bursting with delectable Japanese taste sensations that will not disappoint.  Be sure to take advantage of this splendid dining opportunity, featuring OMAKASE on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings every other week and additional specialties all week long.
