“Equinox” is the scientific term that refers to the two days of the year when the length of daylight equals that of darkness; one of those days occurs around March 20th/22nd and the other around September 20th/22nd. In the northern hemisphere, the spring equinox takes place in March, marking the shift towards longer days and warmer temperatures, while in the southern hemisphere, the spring equinox occurs in September. The second equinox has the opposite effect, marking the onset of shorter days and longer nights.
The spring Equinox Party 2015 at Garza Blanca is sure to be a truly magnificent affair in honor of Mexico’s pre-Hispanic traditions. The event will take place on Garza Blanca’s pool deck near the beach and guests are invited to wear white clothing, or at least light colors. A special Mexican menu will be offered showcasing pre-Hispanic recipes while guests will enjoy a pre-Hispanic show and ceremonial ritual headed by a local shaman.
